This was one of the most emotional writing days I’ve ever had. I was able to surpass my goal of 1700 words. But that’s not where the emotion came in. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m an emotional wimp(I cry when the St. Jude commercials come on) or if it’s just because I’ve connected so much with my characters, but I wrote a scene today that literally had me in tears. Full on, alligator sized water droplets.
My wife asked me what was wrong. She was very compassionate about it but I’m sure deep down she was laughing at least just a little. And the one question she asked is probably what some of you are thinking as well…No, I did not kill anyone off. Basically, I just put my main character through the emotional wringer and apparently I decided to tag along.
